If you enjoy you summer exactly the way it is, then perhaps Drum Corps is not for you unless you are seeking something that challenges you mentally and physically and allows you to enjoy yourself in the process. If you have played any sport or have been involved in anything that you have to work so hard for, just for those 15 minutes in the spot light, then you can understand why we do Drum Corps. Drum corps is a year-round thing, however, it is a summer event. Drum Corps from all over the world practice and prepare all winter for what will hopefully be a championship performance during the late spring and summer months. During this time, you can see an improvement in your playing abilities, music reading skills, and in your learning skills.

Getting Involved In Drum Corps
"What exactly is Drum Corps?" We are glad you asked. Drum Corps is a lot of things. It is a sport, though most people wouldn't believe so. It is by far one of if not the most challenging sports on the face of the planet. Many people hear Drum Corps and either think of the military, or our personal "favorite" Marching Band. Drum Corps is not like Marching Band or the Military Bands. Drum Corps has its own personality. It is mentally and physically challenging. It teaches you self-discipline. You build your stamina and character all at the same time; But most of all you get the opportunity to see the world make lifelong friendships. The up coming season will bring us to most of the North East States, and even to Canada. Finals in the 2005 season are being held at the Foxborough Stadium. Being a Drum Corps from Massachusetts, we are not usually bless with finals being so close. This is our chance to really play hard and represent the North Eastern Drum Corps. |

Your fellow drummers are exactly like your brothers and sisters. You love each other as if you have known each other forever. Don't get us wrong, we have our fair share of arguments, but when we get on that field, nothing else matters but our music, our look, and our unity.
